As Arbella Pasta, on this journey we embarked on with the goal of strengthening our corporate identity through social responsibility and artistic projects, we continue to create an international platform that brings Turkish and world photographers together.

The year 2026 holds a special meaning for the photography world as it marks the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography. For two centuries, as one of the most powerful visual storytelling tools forming the memory of humanity, photography has recorded the world, humanity, and the truest states of life. In the sixteenth year of the Arbella International Photography Contest, while paying homage to this deep-rooted legacy, we aim to offer a new perspective on the present and future of photography.

Contest Categories and Details

The Arbella International Photography Contest offers participants the opportunity to either delve deeply into a specific theme or freely express their unique photographic language.

The main category of the contest, "The Beauty of Imperfection", aims to make visible the aesthetics, emotion, and story carried by details that fall outside the perception of perfection. Traces, fractures, wear, irregularities, coincidences, or unexpected details seen as flaws are treated as aesthetic parts of character, reality, and sincerity within this theme.

The "Open" category offers participants the opportunity to freely use the expressive power of photography without any subject limitations. Photographers can present their own perspectives through human, nature, city, street, portrait, documentary, conceptual expression, architecture, or a completely personal visual approach.

No. Participation in the 16th Arbella International Photography Contest is free of charge. No fees are requested from participants for the application, photo upload, or evaluation process.

The contest is open to individual participation by anyone aged 18 and over. Team or group applications are not accepted.

No. “Vision of the Future” is not a separate submission category. Participants aged 18-24 who enter “The Beauty of Imperfection” or “Open” categories are automatically included in the “Vision of the Future” evaluation pool based on their age.

The copyright of all submitted photographs remains with the photographer. However, awarded, honorable mention and selected photographs may be used for contest promotion, communication and archiving purposes, with proper credit to the photographer.
